Dwaar is a completely new experience to finding information at your fingertips. For every query that you type, Dwaar searches for all contexts of the query and organizes the relevant information to help you browse through the results and get what you want in a simpler and faster way.

Why do I see so many sections on the “All” results page?

Local Search empowers users to search for any business/service in and around his locality of interest. The businesses/services available with Dwaar spans around thousand categories like Hotels, Automobile Dealers, Driving Schools, ATMs, Hospitals, Real Estate agents and much more. Users can browse through the results or refine the choices through City/Area or through Categories.

I can see Restaurant results with a count. Why is that?

Since Restaurants are of major interest to many people in India, we have dedicated a search facility exclusively for Restaurants. Users can refine the results through City/Area, Cuisine, Specialty and Price range.

What are refiners?

Think of refiners as a filtering mechanism. Refiners help you to narrow the search to find the best results suited to your need. The example below illustrates this feature better.



A search for “Bangalore” will yield thousands of results under cities or restaurants section. The refiner shown above helps you to narrow down the search to specific areas in Bangalore. You can similarly refine the results by Area, Category, Brand, Cuisine and Specialty depending upon the context of your query.

How do I share the business details with my friend (SMS, email)?

Simple. Just click the “sms” icon to send an SMS about the business/service details, either to your friend or to yourself. Alternatively, you can click the “email” icon to share the details through email.

How will I share an opinion on a business/restaurant?

Often times, you want to share an opinion on particular restaurant or business immediately when you spot them in the search result. It just turns out to be too much of effort to identify an opinion sharing website, locate that particular restaurant/business and then sharing an opinion.

AAt Dwaar, our aim is make this task very simple to you. All you have to do is to click on the link “Share your opinion”, which appears right next to the search result. You will be immediately redirected to the page where you can share your opinion in few easy steps. Your opinion then will appear alongside the search results.

Why do I get job results separately?

In India, our research has shown that majority of the searches are jobs related, even more than travel-related queries. People come online to upload their resumes and view different job profiles. When we are building a search engine for India, we cannot really overlook the importance of “jobs.”

Why Matrimony then?

Matrimony search is a single platform to search and view the profiles of prospective brides and grooms. There are more than hundred matrimonial sites in India; some very niche, some pertaining to just one area and few global. Dwaar aims to provide all matrimonial alliance seekers a platform to find their ideal match.

What is “Reviews”?

"Voice of India" is a community search - about what Indian users are talking about on any topic of interest.

News vertical, on the other hand, presents a unified search across news portals like Times of India, Hindustan Times and The Hindu etc.

How do I provide feedback about Dwaar?

We have provided an option called “Feedback” which is available at the bottom of Dwaar website. You can rate Dwaar using the rating boxes or can simply type your feedback in the textbox below. We go through all the feedbacks and treat them with utmost importance.

You can also provide us quick feedback about the quality of search results for any specific query. This helps us to improve the search results for that query.
